Lunar Labs Limited ("we," "us," "our," or "Lunar Labs"), a company registered in Malta under company number C 106920 with registered office at 36 Flat 3, Triq L-Abbate Savoia, Naxxar, NXR 1141, Malta, operates the Blixt Editor service available at https://getblixt.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use Blixt Editor.

1. Data Controller

2. What Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile picture (optional)
• Billing information: company name, billing address, payment method details (processed via our payment processors – we do not store full card numbers)
• Content you create: documents, comments, folders, and any files you upload or generate ("User Content")
• Support correspondence

B. Automatically Collected Information

• Usage data: feature usage, session duration, IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
• With your consent (where required), send you product updates and marketing communications

4. Legal Bases (EEA & UK users)

We process personal data based on:

• Performance of our contract with you (providing the Service)
• Our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, network security, improving the Service)

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers (sub-processors) who help us run the Service (e.g., cloud hosting – AWS Frankfurt, payment processors – Stripe and Paddle, analytics – PostHog, customer support – Crisp)

• In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your data may be transferred)

We never sell your personal data.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored in the European Union (Germany – AWS eu-central-1). Where we transfer data outside the EEA, we use EU-approved mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses or ensure the recipient is part of an adequacy decision.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: kept while your account is active; deleted 30 days after account deletion (unless required longer for legal reasons)
• Billing records: kept for 7 years (Malta tax law requirement)
• Backups: retained for up to 90 days
• User Content: deleted immediately upon your request or 30 days after account deletion

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use necessary cookies for authentication and security, functional cookies to remember preferences, and analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

9. Your Rights (EEA, UK, and other applicable jurisdictions)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, regular security audits) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Children

Blixt Editor is not intended for children under 13 (or higher where required by law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
